The Arrival of Beauxbatons by brightredrose The Arrival of Beauxbatons by brightredrose
Really debated on whether to upload this or not, because it is quite possibly the most cartoony style I have ever used. >< Looks like cut-out paper in some cases, too bubbly and cute in other places, and I will hopefully not be making the same mistakes again.

Gift-art for my aunt, who loves all things Harry Potter...but she particularly enjoyed this part of the book, if I remember correctly.

Six horses pictured instead of the book's twelve, because I was already dangerously close to losing my mind. It had to get done by Thanksgiving.

Critique encouraged.

Abraxan horses and everything else (c) to J.K. Rowling.

EDIT: Added slight blur to carriage...still looks like plastic, but less so. ^^

Oh wow, this looks excellent! It must have been quite a project. I love the style of it overal, the carriage looks really neat to me. (I am so scared of drawing vehicles...) Each of the equines is very well drawn. The wings are very pretty. Everything in this really seems to glow. I love how you did the background. Well done.:blackrose:

Ah, yes, the equine drinkers of whisky, I remember them. XD
I used to be freaked out when I read about how small the carriage seemed with all those students falling out of it like it was some kind of clown car. XD

I seem to remember the book describing the carriage as "the size of a house." That would accomadate the students/teacher quite nicely. I was more worried about the horses. XD

...the local supplier must have wondered when that much whisky was being ordered each day. 0.o
