Uploading to show that my horse painting isn't completely dead, although Lord knows art college is trying its hardest to make sure I have no free time whatsoever. T_T
So yeah, it always seems like I catch up to what other people have figured out years later, but I'm definitely keeping this for better or worse...no smudging, no airbrushes, just solid brushes and low opacity. Takes forever, love the result.
Critique on any of the method is appreciated; obviously this is not meant as a finished piece, just a coloring page. So no telling me the composition is lacking, I know that.

I love the way you draw your unicorn's tails attaching to the body- with a very thick and muscular base, like a dinosaur, rather than the thin horse tails. 
Those eyes really pop, and I really like the unique shape of his head.
